| Q. How do
I get a library card? |
A. All patrons living inside
of Polk County receive free library cards in
accordance with the Polk County Library Cooperative
(PCLC) guidelines. Items used for identification
must have the patron's name, picture, and current
address. They include:
• Driver's license or state issued ID with
current address.
• Current utility bill.
• Checkbook with printed address.
• Current lease or rent receipt.
• Voter's registration card.

children get a library card? |
A. Children will be issued
a library card when they are old enough to write
their name. Until a child reaches the age of
18, a parent or legal guardian must sign consent
for the minor to be issued a card.

| Q. How many
items can I check out from the library? |
A. There is no limit to the
number of items that can be checked out. The
library can also request materials from other
libraries for you to pick up at the Mulberry
library.

Can I request items from other libraries? |
A. Yes, with a few exceptions.
A staff member at the library can do this for
you or you can do it on the computer at the library
or from home. Some Polk County Libraries currently
do not lend their videos or DVDs while other
libraries do. Also, if an item is not available
in Polk County, the library can attempt to get
the book from another library throughout the
United States.

renew my items? |
A. Most items can be renewed
twice. This may be done in person, over the phone,
or over the Internet. The library phone number

can I return the items I checked out? |
A. Items can be returned to
any public library in Polk County regardless
of where it was borrowed from. The overdue fee
is 50 cents per day, for videos and DVDs, or
10 cents per day, for all other items.

How long can I check materials out for and how
much are the library fines for overdue materials? |
A. Every item in the Mulberry
Library checks out for two weeks. The overdue
fee is 50 cents per day, for videos and DVDs,
or 10 cents per day, for all other items.

have Internet and computers for me to use? And how
much does it cost? |
A. People may sign up to use
the computers on a first come, first serve basis.
There is a 30-minute time limit if other patrons
are waiting to use the computers. By using the
computers you are agreeing to abide by the Internet/Computer
Acceptable Use Policy. Children under the age
of 12 must have a parent or guardian with them
to use the computers. Please sign in and out
at the front desk. There is no charge for this
service. Computer copies are 25 cents per page
though.

make copies and send/receive faxes? |
A. Copies
are 10 cents per page. Computer copies are
25 cents per page. An outgoing fax is $1.00
for the first page and 25 cents for each additional
page. Incoming fax fees are 25 cents per page.

Storytime and other children's programs? |
A. Storytime is currently on
Tuesdays at 10am. There is a summer Library Program
each year for children of all ages. Other programs
can be arranged upon request. Please check our
current program schedule.

A. All of the following databases
are available from your home computer or from
the library computers except Ancestry.com. (It
must be accessed from the library.) To access
these databases go to www.pclc.lib.fl.us, and
select DATABASES. Here you can also see the other
databases available with more being added all
the time. You will need a library card to access
these databases.

well as record collections
from Canada and other areas.
This collection of more than
4,000 databases and 1.5 billion

C. C. Pearce Municipal Library is operated by
the City of Mulberry. Each public library in
Polk County has their own rules set by their
Library Board/City Commission. Because of this,
you may notice slightly different policies enforced
